A writer, historian and our resident Svalbard expert, Kelsey loves listening to stories as much as she enjoys telling them. After moving to Svalbard from the United States, Kelsey immersed herself in books about the remote Norwegian archipelago, to better understand its landscapes and history so she could share what she learnt with visitors. In particular, she was enamoured with the stories of the early explorers and the diverse dreams people have sought in the Arctic over the years. Guiding fits Kelsey like a glove – she thrives on helping expeditioners appreciate the pristine places Aurora visits, and pinpointing their moments of awe when they encounter iconic wildlife for the first time in the wild.
