A stay at the Cascada EcoCamp, unique in Patagonia, is comfortable, environmentally friendly, and a truly amazing experience. Cascada EcoCamp offers a perfect compromise between hotel accommodation and camping, with large dome-shaped tents, with wooden floors, allowing plenty of space for sleeping comfortably. A separate tent contains the kitchen/living/dining areas, while a separate building houses the communal bathrooms and composting toilets. The Patagonia Safari offers 4-night full-board stays based on a weekly excursion itinerary. The program starts and finishes in Punta Arenas or El Calafate.

 

Day 1 

From Punta Arenas, embark on a panoramic ride to Torres del Paine National Park. Depending on your arrival time, lunch will be provided before arriving at Cascada EcoCamp.

We drive up to Grey Lake and enjoy a tasty lunch by the lake, before embarking on a boat ride across the icy waters to the towering blue walls of Glacier Grey. *Please be aware that the Grey Glacier boat trip is subject to availability and weather conditions After breakfast, we begin the drive to Lake Grey where you should pause and raise your eyes to the huge peaks of the east. This wind-swept rock monster is Cerro Ferrier which, standing at 1599m/5246 ft, makes a rewarding (but intense) hike. This morning we enter the National Park via Laguna Verde and begin our hike. The Lazo Weber Trail is packed with native flora and wildlife, and takes us to a lookout point with a rewarding 360-degree view of the Paine Mountain range.

We make our way towards Estancia Dos Elianas. Our journey begins with horse riding followed by a delectable lunch. Next, we embark on a tour of the Estancia, immersing ourselves in the rich traditions of Patagonia. We set off towards Hostería Las Torres and join the path to Ascencio Valley on the Tower’s eastern face. After an uphill slog, the Towers eventually come into full view, rising majestically before us, with the glacial lake visible below. This morning, we set off towards Laguna Inge. This excursion allows us to fully immerse ourselves in the captivating beauty of the park’s central lakes, while also admiring the magnificent horns that adorn the Paine massif.

After breakfast sit back and enjoy a relaxing drive back to Punta Arenas airport or continue your journey through Patagonia by driving across the border to El Calafate Argentina.
